CAREGIVER PROJECT OWNERSHIP AND INITIATIVE

No one has ever become poor by giving.” ―Anne Frank. Giving is the master key to success, in all applications of human life. To get the full value of joy you must have someone to divide it with. The wise man does not lay up his own treasures. The more he gives to others, the more he has for his own. Nothing else in all life is such a maker of joy and cheer as the privilege of doing good. “We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” — Winston S. Churchill. When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed. Joy multiplies when it is shared among friends, but grief diminishes with every division. That is life. “Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.” — Booker T. Washington. It is every man’s obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it

Project ownership is both commendable and admirable at our FCP despite negative aftermath brought about by COVID-19. Our project caregivers are in groups of 15 people led by one of them who is a trained Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) Champion. They clean their homesteads in turns and they usually come to the project to clean it in turns as well that is in different days, they bring firewood with them. They are intensively planting vegetables and trees at their homesteads, they have been contributing among themselves to buy iron sheets and bricks to build latrines for those who doesn’t have. They have embraced Qavah concept at a great deal! They have been voluntarily giving back to the project via their own CSR such as pumpkins, green grams, peas, bananas, sugar, milk etc. so far we have received food stuffs worthy over 6,000/=!
Success is doing something good when you can, where you can and while you can.
